Job summary

Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood seeks a Night Receptionist to warmly greet visitors, manage diaries for meetings and events, and efficiently handle calls, emails and post. You will help ensure a secure, well-organised reception area while supporting the night team.

The role involves handling security checks, visitor sign-ins and coordinating with the Night Manager, with opportunities for development within Elysium Healthcare’s network.

First impressions matter. As a Night Receptionist you play a pivotal role in setting the tone for every interaction. You are the first face and first conversation visitors to Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood will experience. Your warm and friendly personality will shine through as you greet and assist staff, visitors and service users.

What You Will Be Doing

In this exciting role at Farmfield Hospital, a service for men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.

Each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working alongside the reception team and Night Manager your key responsibilities will be welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, co‑ordinating the diary for meetings and events and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign ins, conduct security checks and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

As a Night Receptionist You Will Be

• Welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner and ensuring the sign the visitor book.
• Maintaining the upkeep of the reception area & meeting rooms are presentable.
• Managing the diary for meetings, events, training days and therapy sessions.
• Ensuring confidentially and security to the service.
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls, emails and post.

• Security walk-rounds and night checks.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Previous experience
• Computer skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, confident and diplomatic
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above
