Job summary

Daish’s Holidays in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Night Porter to help look after guests and keep the hotel safe overnight. You’ll continue the daytime reception service and be a key contact for guests during the night.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out front-of-house duties, including welcoming guests and responding to their needs.
• Providing a friendly, professional and efficient service throughout the night.
• Dealing with guest requests and helping to ensure they have a comfortable stay.
• Maintaining the security of the hotel during the night, as directed by Hotel Management.
• Carrying out regular security walks of the hotel and recording checks and actions in the appropriate log.
• Following the correct procedures in the event of an emergency, including fire safety procedures.
• Following lone-working and “buddy” contact procedures to ensure your own safety while working at night.
• Following company Health & Safety procedures and helping to maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
• Assisting guests with luggage when required.
• Ensuring any issues or incidents are reported appropriately to Hotel Management.
