Job summary

International Students House (ISH) is seeking a reliable Night Porter / Cleaner to join our housekeeping and operations teams. Based at Kennington Lane with occasional shifts at Great Portland Street, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents.

You will perform cleaning and portering duties across residential and communal areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and public spaces, with duties such as bedding changes, moving items, spillages and waste

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Thorough, with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable carrying out physical duties, including standing, bending and lifting.
• Aware of basic health and safety and cleaning procedures.
• Able to communicate clearly and report any issues to managers.
• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a hotel, halls of residence or similar environment, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and portering duties across residential and communal areas.
• Change bedding and move furniture as required.
• Deal with spillages and dispose of waste.
• Report maintenance or other issues to management.
