Job summary

Marston’s Inns is seeking a Night Porter to join our team. You’ll be the face of the business overnight, running the pub and hotel after hours with self-reliance and strong guest focus.

You’ll work 11pm–7am, be on call to assist guests, ensure safety and security, and complete tasks that set the team up for success the next day. There are opportunities to progress across our pubs, hotels, and support centre.

Qualifications

• Self-reliant and capable of working alone overnight.
• Strong guest service mindset and professional demeanor.
• Ability to manage safety and security for guests and premises.

Responsibilities

• Work throughout the night, usually 11pm to 7am.
• Be on call to assist guests by phone and in person.
• Interact with guests in a professional, friendly manner; anticipate their needs.
• Maintain safety and security of the pub and hotel premises.
• Complete tasks that prepare the team for the following day.

We’re on the lookout for a Night Porter to join our team!

Make a difference to the moments that matter to us and our guests.As the face of our Marston’s Inns after hours, you’ll be solely responsible for running the business overnight. Self-reliant, you’ll need to enjoy your own company and be resourceful enough to tackle any challenges that arise. But that’s not all, you’ll be on call to support our guests – ensuring their hotel stay is a memorable one. As Night Porter and part of our wider hotel and pub team you’ll:

• Work throughout the night. Usually between 11pm and 7am
• Be on call to take care of our guests needs, over the phone and face to face
• Be professional and friendly when interacting with guests
• Be responsible for the safety and security of the pub and hotel guests
• Complete tasks that set the pub and hotel team up for success the following day
