Job summary

Boat & Horses is seeking a Night Porter to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will check in late arrivals, manage early departures, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts to provide seamless guest service.

The role includes wake-up calls, room service deliveries, and bar duties in a busy hospitality setting. You will work with a close-knit team, maintaining security and cleanliness throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles desired.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work nights and handle fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check in late arrivals and check out early departures in line with company procedures.
• Ensure thorough communication with all departments.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed on each shift and complete handover at the end of the shift.
• Ensure wake up calls are made promptly and book any taxis for guests.
• Take room service orders and deliver to guests.
• Residents’ bar – preparing and serving drinks, cleaning duties.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the fire evacuation procedure and computer systems.
• Ensure site is secure and complete regular walk arounds throughout the shift.
• Set up rooms for meetings and private dining.
• Give personal attention, take personal responsibility and use teamwork to provide excellent guest service.
