Mercure Holland House Hotel is seeking a Night Porter to welcome guests warmly and ensure the hotel is safe and presented for the morning shift. You will perform front desk duties, assist guests with requests, and maintain bill checks and documentation throughout the night.

Join a dedicated team delivering high quality service while adhering to health, safety and security procedures during the overnight hours. A forward-thinking, flexible approach is essential.

Mansioni

• Ensure that all guests are safe and comfortable.
• Check guests in and out using the PMS system and handle guest enquiries.
• Carry out relevant night-time checks and basic hotel duties.
• Serve guests at the bar if open and manage late-night requests.
• Support cleaning of public areas, bars and function rooms.
• Assist guests with anything they may need during the night.
• Ensure documentation is completed per hotel standards.
• Report any safety concerns to the Duty Manager.
• Support the hotel team with any reasonable overnight duties.

We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a Night Porter.

As Night Porter you will be the first impression providing guests and visitors with a warm welcome and great service whilst ensuring the hotel is kept safe and secure overnight. You will have a forward thinking approach and be a team player, going the extra mile to ensure the hotel is perfectly presented ready for our guests in the morning.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Ensure that all guests are safe and comfortable.
• Carrying out general reception duties including checking guests in and out using the PMS system, dealing with guest enquiries and requests, answering the telephone and handling any issues that arise during the night.
• Completing any relevant night-time checks and basic hotel duties.
• If the bar is open, serving guests at the bar and dealing with any late-night food or drink requests as required.
• Support with the cleaning of all public areas, bars and function rooms as requested, removal of room service trays from bedroom corridors as necessary.
• Assisting guests with anything they may need during the night.
• Completing any relevant night-time checks and basic hotel duties.
• To ensure all documentation, i.e. checks/bills are completed as necessary and carried out as per the hotel and company standards.
• Ensure all corridors are clear; fire extinguishers are present and accessible and fire doors are secure, reporting any concerns immediately to the Duty Manager or Senior Manager on site.
• Supporting the hotel team generally and helping with any other reasonable duties needed during the overnight shift.
• To ensure Health and Safety, fire safety and security procedures are adhered to whilst providing excellent, customer service.

Requirements of the role:

• To have worked in a hotel or accommodation services business.
• To be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to enjoy it
• To be able to work independently, being self-motivated to complete the tasks.
• Flexibility- to enjoy working night shifts, seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
