Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA is seeking a Night Porter at our Cardiff property. You will help ensure the safety and security of guests, staff and the hotel during the night, with regular security checks and support across departments to maintain a first-class experience.

Responsibilities

• Strong attention to detail: as night porter, you must have a keen eye for detail to ensure that all areas of the property are clean and presentable.
• Good communication skills: you'll interact with guests and staff effectively and report issues to the appropriate authorities.
• Customer service skills: you should be approachable, friendly and able to handle guest needs and complaints.
• Ability to work overnight shifts: you must be able to work late-night and early-morning shifts as the role involves night-time hours.
• Please note that we will only be accepting applicants who are age 18 or above for this role, and comfortable with a nightshift working pattern, including commuting to and from the hotel.

A day in the life of…

As a Night Porter you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and the hotel at nights. You will also ensure the minimum of 2 security checks at regular intervals with emphasis on security, and fire safety. You will also help prepare breakfast for 6am, daily and liaise with guests and residents in the hotel, dealing with any problems and resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner. As an integral part of night time operations in the hotel, your role extends beyond the front desk! You'll be agile in your role and support operations in food and beverage, maintenance and all other areas that will require your first class customer service skills and exemplary team work skillset. This role is unlike any other in our hotel and offers development opportunities across all departments. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a first class enjoyable and comfortable stay.
