Job summary

Brenntag in the United Kingdom is seeking an operator to work across warehouse or depot operations, including stock handling, forklift driving, mixing, blending, filling and other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities include safe handling, filling and storage of chemical products, picking and checking loads, loading and dispatching vehicles, building loads with manual handling and pallets, maintaining safe yard and warehouse operations, and undertaking tasks from the line

Qualifications

• Manual handling experience in a distribution environment.
• FLT counterbalance truck experience.
• REACH knowledge; chemical handling exposure desirable.

Responsibilities

• The safe handling, filling and storage of chemical products to ensure compliance with legislation and operational requirements.
• Pick and Check vehicle loads and confirm match customer order.
• Load vehicles of supplies and ensure safe handling and dispatch to laid down operational procedures.
• Build loads to meet customer orders, both manual handling and by fork lifted pallets.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouse.
• Carry out manual handling yard duties and chemical filling as required
• Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by your line manager from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.
