Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is an elegant Victorian hotel in the city centre, overlooking Union Terrace Gardens.

We are seeking a confident, reliable, and guest‑focused Night Manager to oversee all hotel operations during the night. If you excel in problem‑solving, enjoy people enable management, and thrive in a calm overnight environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee night‑time front‑of‑house operations
  • Ensure guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction
  • Handle late check‑ins, guest queries, and emergency situations
  • Complete nightly financial audits and reporting
  • Monitor security systems and conduct regular floor checks
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for next‑day operations
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and hospitality
  • Support and co‑ordinate conference and events set‑ups during the Emoji shift

  • Previous hotel or hospitality management experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially with audits and reports
  • Calm, confident, and reliable under pressure
  • Proficient with hotel PMS systems (training can be provided)
