RHR is seeking an inspirational Night Manager to guide a large overnight team in our fast-paced Manchester Airport retail operation. This role balances operational discipline with customer service leadership to ensure the store recovers, restocks, and reopens ready for early-morning shopping.

You will coach and develop teams of around 10, drive engagement, manage ticketing and promotions, and uphold health, safety and compliance.

Terminal 2 has evolved into a true "superstore" operation, serving millions of passengers each year and generating turnover expected to reach £50m-£55m. As a Night Manager, you'll play a key role in leading a large team within a unique retail environment that combines the pace of high-volume retail with exceptional customer service standards. Unlike many traditional replenishment leadership roles, this position offers a genuine 50/50 split between operational excellence and customer service leadership. You'll lead the overnight recovery and preparation of the store, managing standards, ticketing, promotional changes, compliance and health & safety, before shifting focus to leading the customer experience as the store reopens in the early hours. You'll work closely with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure the operation is ready to deliver a world-class shopping experience every day. The role also includes coaching, motivating and developing large teams, driving engagement and supporting overall business performance.

We're looking for an inspirational people leader with experience managing teams of 10 colleagues within a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates from department stores, big-box retail, supermarkets or other high-volume customer-focused environments will all be considered. Most importantly, you'll be someone who leads from the front, builds strong relationships and genuinely enjoys developing people. You'll be proactive, commercially aware and capable of influencing across the wider management team, even when people are not direct reports. A passion for customer service is essential, as is the ability to adapt your approach to a diverse customer base and a constantly changing trading environment. We are particularly interested in leaders who combine strong operational discipline with energy, humility, resilience and a genuine care for their teams.

In return, you'll receive a salary of £34,500, plus a generous nightshiftpremiumaveragingaround30%ontopofbasicsalary.
