Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Norfolk is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for nights Monday to Friday. You will join a busy manufacturing environment, respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out planned preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement projects across electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and an engineering apprenticeship, with strong fault-finding, reading drawings and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience of fault finding and problem solving
• Welding skills would be advantageous
• PLC experience would be beneficial
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure

Responsibilities

• Responding quickly to equipment failures and minimising downtime
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
• Supporting small engineering projects and site improvements
• Maintaining high health and safety standards
• Working closely with production teams to ensure operational performance
