Job summary

Blakemore Trade Partners is seeking a proactive Shift Manager for the Wakefield Depot to oversee logistics operations. The role focuses on cost-effective depot management and delivering high-quality service while complying with policy and legal requirements.

Key duties include driving KPI achievement, staff leadership, and efficient control of goods receipt, picking, packing and dispatch processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High degree of numeracy and literacy.
• Level 3 health and safety qualification (IOSH) and Level 3 food safety qualification - preferable.
• Warehousing and transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient and effective operations through team management and KPI achievement.
• Ensure high standards of customer service across all areas of responsibility.
• Control of goods receipt, replenishment, dispatch operations and despatch processes.
• Oversee stocktaking, maintenance systems and procedures.
• Recruitment, development, retention and performance of staff; supervision of standard hour payment schemes.
• Assist with continuous improvement objectives using available tools and techniques.
