LME Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced transport operator to manage night operations at one of the UK's busiest hubs. The role is hands-on, demanding, and offers strong earning potential with modern systems.

You will book slots, optimise schedules, coordinate night drivers, and handle on-call duties with weekend rotation. The position requires calm, independent work and reliable IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport operations, logistics or container environment.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication with drivers, agencies and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Book VBS slots and keep container movements on track.
• Optimise schedules, swap jobs, and coordinate night drivers.
• Handle overnight call outs, monitor fleet and day-handovers.
• Join on-call rota (1 in 4 weekends): 2 hours Saturday + weekend on-call (paid extra).
