Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking a Night Care Leader in Farnham Common. You will lead a small team of carers, support the Home Manager, and plan and deliver care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence.

Night shifts require initiative, strong communication, and good time management to balance team support with resident wellbeing. We offer career development, training, and a nurturing environment within Farnham Common House, situated near Slough, M25, and M40.

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential care setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not essential.
  • Positive role model with excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of carers and support home manager.
  • Plan and implement care that ensures residents' security, dignity and independence.
  • Review care plans regularly through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Night Care Leader Location: Farnham Common Pay rate: £14.75 per hour Contracted hours: 30 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced senior carer or support worker with the passion to make a difference? Do you want to work night shifts? Supporting the Home Manager, and leading a team of carers, you'll be responsible for planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity, and independence. You'll ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You'll be able to manage your time, between supporting your team effectively and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents. ABOUT YOU

You'll have previous experience of working in a residential care setting with a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care. You might have previous supervisory experience, like delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1 to 1s but this is not essential. What is important is you are a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive individual, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times. Alongside being confident taking charge and being able to use your own initiative to resolve problems and deal with queries. You will want to work night shifts to support our residents and team.
