Job summary

Saputo is seeking a Hygiene Supervisor in the UK to lead a busy, regulated hygiene function in a dairy/food production setting. You will manage 8–12 hygiene operatives, drive validation activities, and support internal audits to ensure top-tier hygiene performance and compliance.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, training a high-performing team, and close collaboration with production and engineering to uphold H&S and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Experienced within a hygiene leadership position in a heavily regulated production/manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of verification and validation of hygiene.
• Experience training and developing a high-performing team through engagement.
• Knowledgeable of internal audit processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support and develop the hygiene operatives team (8-12).
• Lead validation and verification of hygiene activities.
• Play a key role in the internal audit team with actionable outcomes.
• Ensure health and safety practices are followed.
• Implement and monitor ATP testing, allergen release and related controls.
• Lead investigations of out-of-spec hygiene results and drive improvements.
• Maintain CICs and SOPs, update and train on the floor.
• Ensure facilities comply with company and retailer hygiene and GMP standards.
• Ensure effective Listeria management plan is in place.
• Allocate and monitor records for completion against objectives.
• Collaborate with production and engineering on hygiene and H&S issues.
