Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Hygiene Operative for our King’s Lynn site on a full-time night shift (Mon-Fri, 22:00–06:00) on a temporary contract. The role focuses on cleaning production areas and equipment to the highest hygiene standards, with COSHH training provided.

Training will cover safe handling of cleaning chemicals, health and safety, and food safety requirements. The successful candidate may progress within a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• Good standard of literacy and numeracy required.
• Basic Health & Safety and Food Safety awareness.
• Manual handling skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas, machinery, and equipment to the highest hygiene standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete all tasks efficiently.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals following COSHH procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.
• Work effectively both independently and within a team.
