Job summary

DPD UK is hiring a Hub 5 Sortation Operative Nights in Hinckley to operate state-of-the-art sortation equipment and support nightly parcel flows.

You will monitor parcel compliance, clear blockages, and contribute to KPI improvements while adhering to health and safety practices and working hours from 18:30 to 03:00, Tuesday to Saturday. Training provided and opportunities for career progression within DPD UK.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and self-motivation, crucial for maintaining high performance standards
• High attention to detail, essential for accurate parcel handling and processing
• Good organisational skills to effectively manage workload and meet operational targets
• Ability to perform under high-pressure situations and meet strict deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt to various roles within warehouse operations
• Physical capacity to lift, load and carry items up to 25 kg regularly
• Understanding of Health and Safety practices in a warehouse setting

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and policing parcel compliance in the hub, ensuring items meet size and weight regulations
• Clearing induct and sorter blockages promptly to maintain smooth operations
• Working to improve Hub KPIs, including throughput rates and accuracy metrics
• Escalating issues to management in a timely and appropriate manner
• Using effective communication to liaise with team members and other departments
• Maintaining a proactive, positive attitude and adapting to new processes
• Adhering to Health and Safety policies at all times
• Supporting hub operations as required, including in peak periods
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and hazard-free throughout the shift
• Collaborating with colleagues to meet nightly targets and deadlines
• Adapting to changing priorities during busy periods
