Job summary

eRecruitSmart is recruiting Highways Operatives to join our highways vegetation team. You’ll work across the UK, primarily at night, cutting grass and clearing vegetation to keep road users safe and maintain traffic flow.

No previous experience is required and full training is provided. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential. The role offers guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week, overtime and a night-shift bonus, plus PPE, progression opportunities and long-term employment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided to learn highways vegetation tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass and clear vegetation on highways projects.
• Operate strimmers, brushcutters and blowers where needed.
• Feed woodchippers and assist clearance teams.
• Maintain sites and perform litter clearance.
• Work safely as part of a professional team.
