Job summary

Lanes Group Plc is recruiting for a utilities operative to join our Southern Water contract, delivering drainage and wastewater solutions across the Southeast. You’ll work in a two-person HGV team, operate high-pressure water jetting, and report on specialist equipment.

You will maintain PPE and health and safety standards, use VISTEC and Salesforce, run vacuum tanker equipment, perform risk assessments, liaise with clients, and support colleagues to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites via a HGV in a two person team to power a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems and record each job report on specialist equipment.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains and deliver good customer service.
• Maintain health and safety practices and PPE at all sites and ensure vehicle stock is full.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms and operate JHL specification vacuum tankers.
• Conduct risk assessments, liaise with the client and support colleagues on site.
