Job summary

Lanes Group in Camberley is seeking a customer-focused utility operative to support the Thames Water contract. You will travel on an HGV in a two-person team to clear and maintain drainage, using high-pressure water jetting and vacuum tanker equipment.

The role is permanent, full-time with a 4-on/4-off shift pattern; salary is £35,573 per year. Full training provided, and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Travel to residential sites in a two-person team using an HGV to power a high-pressure water jet.
• Maintain and clear drainage systems to restore functionality.
• Record each job on the equipment and report results.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drainage systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles stocked and replenished; manage PPE and safe-site procedures.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms for job reporting.
• Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and related equipment.
• Conduct safety checks on tools and equipment before and after use.
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE.
