Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd currently seeks experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a temperature-controlled trunking role between Regional and National Distribution Centres. The position focuses on trunking with no multi-drop deliveries and requires maintaining load temperatures with compliant driving standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV1 entitlement (C+E).
• Minimum 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK.
• Valid Digi card and valid Driver CPC card.
• Solid understanding of drivers’ working hours and the Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Complete temperature-controlled deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Trunk loads between RDCs and NDCs with no multi-drop deliveries.
• Seal/unseal vehicle rear doors per procedures and monitor refrigeration units.
• Maintain required temperatures and report discrepancies promptly to the depot.
• Safely couple/uncouple trailers and supervise loading/unloading of goods.
