Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group in Birmingham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for refrigerated trunking work. No loading or unloading, straightforward A-to-B driving with evening or night starts.

Candidates must hold a UK LGV/HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with previous Class 1 experience and a good grasp of drivers' hours rules. The role offers regular night shifts and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.

• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completing refrigerated Class 1 trunking runs.
• Driving safely between designated collection and delivery points.
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Completing all required paperwork accurately.
• Following planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Complying with drivers' hours and Working Time regulations.
• Reporting any delays, defects or incidents promptly.
• Maintaining professional standards while representing the client.
