Job summary

Drivers Today in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for regular, ongoing night work with trunking and general haulage.

You’ll be tackling depot-to-depot trunking, curtain‑sided trailer work and daily safety checks, with weekly pay and the support of our local Stoke recruitment team.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence essential.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience of trunking or general haulage preferred.
• Confidence reversing and manoeuvring articulated vehicles.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations.
• Reliable timekeeping and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Driving articulated HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Depot-to-depot and RDC trunking.
• Trailer collections and deliveries.
• Curtain-sided trailer work.
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Completing delivery paperwork.
• Daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Following drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
