Job summary

Go-Ahead London is seeking a Night Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering running shift, ensuring the right number of fit vehicles are available and faults are addressed quickly and effectively. The role is based in Camberwell, SE5, with a 38-hour week and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of engineers and ability to motivate colleagues to deliver vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure with initiative and adaptability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quick learning of business-specific technologies.
• IRTE membership or equivalent professional qualification preferred; interest in EVs advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Allocate work and duties to the engineering team to ensure sufficient vehicles are available for service.
• Ensure maintenance, both planned and unplanned, is delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) is met daily in coordination with Operations Teams.
• Review vehicles and assign status, logging mileage and addressing unsafe/untfit entries.
