Job summary

Marie Curie is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants for overnight care in West Cornwall. The role covers night shifts (10:00pm–7:00am) on a permanent, part-time basis (18, 27 or 36 hours). Salary is up to £35,633.52 pro rata, based on the Band 2 base plus enhancements, with Sunday/Public Holiday bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• At least six months' experience delivering care in a health or social care setting
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
• Experience or knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in patients' homes
• Support comfort, dignity and wellbeing throughout the night
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition
• Follow personalised care plans and work closely with the wider clinical team
• Provide reassurance and support to patients and those important to them
