Job Description: Station Systems Rail Maintenance Technician - Night Shifts

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts dedicated to making a difference. Be part of a high-performing team working on complex, critical infrastructure to keep the nation's connectivity secure 24/7.

The Station Systems Level 3 Rail Maintenance Shift Engineer will work on a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern across four sites on the HS1 rail network: St Pancras International, Stratford International, Ebbsfleet International, and Singlewell Depot. Flexibility to support 24/7 operations and undertake additional activities outside normal shifts is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on SISS and Telecommunications systems to ensure timely restoration within SLAs.
  • Conduct daily reactive maintenance on SISS and Telephony systems.
  • Carry out technical investigations and audits.
  • Complete maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, ensuring compliance with processes and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor systems remotely to identify and fix issues.

Candidate profile:

The engineer will maintain communication systems including CCTV, PA, CIS, EACS, Servers, and IP Networks, working on a 4 on 4 off night shift schedule.

Key requirements:

  • Fault-finding skills with appropriate test equipment experience.
  • Experience with CCTV, IP Networks, EACS, CIS, PAVA Server environments, and copper/fibre cabling.
  • Proven IT skills (e.g., laptop, Office 365).
  • Experience working under SLA-driven maintenance contracts.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
