Job summary

Dovecote Park Ltd is seeking a Night Despatch Operative for our Skellingthorpe site. The role involves keeping stock rotated in a chilled environment, operating despatch machinery, and ensuring orders are picked and scanned accurately for nightly despatch sessions.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced warehousing setting, have reliable transport for night shifts, and be able to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on targets and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and meets targets.
• Must have own transport and be reliable for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and rotate stock.
• Operate scanning and palletising equipment.
• Load and unload vehicles and despatch stock.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing of orders.
• Adhere to SOPs and health & safety procedures.

Role:Night Shift Despatch Operative
Day Rate:£113.78 per day
Contract:Permanent
Location:Skellingthorpe, LN6 5TX
Shift Available:Sunday to Thursday 22:00pm to 6:30am

About you:

• Previous experience within the food industry is advantageous but it is not essential! Full training will be given.

Role:

• Maintain and rotate stock
• Working in a chilled environment
• Operate machinery, scanning and weighing trays, whilst stacking product onto pallets
• Pick and scan orders
• Check through orders through internal database
• Securely wrap pallets prior to despatch
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Adhering to SOP's
• Manual handling and the use of manual handling equipment
