Job summary

Uniserve is seeking a dependable Class 1 Night Driver to join our transport team in the UK. The role involves night trunking, collections, and deliveries on a rolling 4 on, 4 off rota with a competitive salary of £40,085 per year.

You will perform pre/post-trip checks, ensure loads are secured safely, and adhere to tachograph and WTD rules. Strong communication with the night office and planners is essential, along with a professional, safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle for night trunking, collections and deliveries.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks per DVSA standards.
• Ensure loads are secured and meet safety requirements.
• Follow tachograph rules, Working Time Directive regulations and road transport legislation.
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with the night transport office and planners.
• Maintain a professional approach and represent the company positively.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy.
