Job summary

Vanta Staffing Limited is recruiting a Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a client for a permanent transport role in the United Kingdom. The position involves night-time driving, palletised freight, and occasional manual handling.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with 45 hours per week, typically 4:00pm to 4:00am, plus a 1-hour unpaid break. Salary ranges between £34,000 and £37,000 per year with 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. Driver CPC training is provided by the client.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Night driving experience desirable.
• Good understanding of UK road transport regs and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 HGV to deliver/collect palletised freight.
• Complete deliveries and collections safely, on time.
• Carry out vehicle and load checks per procedures.
• Interact professionally with customers, partners and colleagues.
• Report issues through proper channels.
• Maintain professional appearance and represent client positively.
• Follow all health & safety requirements.
• Maintain CPC compliance and complete training.
