Job summary

Pollock Scotrans Ltd in the UK is seeking a dedicated class 1 driver to operate a curtain sider trailer, handling local palletised deliveries and ensuring timely, accurate handovers.

You will perform daily safety checks, stay in contact with the transport team, and participate in regular training. The role offers a 4 on 4 off nights shift starting at 18:00, with overtime and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Use a curtain sider trailer to take on a diverse range of tasks, including local palletised deliveries, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
