Job summary

Pollock Scotrans Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an HGV Class 1 driver to join our transport team on a 4 on 4 off rota, starting at 18:00. You will handle local palletised deliveries and ensure timely, safe delivery to our customers.

You will load and secure goods, perform daily vehicle safety checks, and maintain strong customer service while staying in contact with the transport team. Overtime is available and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Operate a curtain sider trailer for local palletised deliveries and ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and secure goods using straps, nets and securing devices.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using company phone.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to update progress and meet customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with industry standards.
