Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Nights at Cartref Care Home in Hay-on-Wye. You will provide person-centred care, assist with personal hygiene, and support residents with daily activities in a dementia-friendly environment.

No experience required; full training and ongoing support are provided. The role covers night hours (21:00–07:00) with a competitive hourly rate of £13.67, plus benefits through Shaw Healthcare's employee-owned model and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required.
• Ability to follow care plans and procedures.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual's care plan.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing and hygiene.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents.
• Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting colleagues in day-to-day duties.
• Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment.
