Job summary

Creative Support is seeking warm, caring individuals to provide personalised night-time care at Fitzwilliam Court, Hoyland, Barnsley. The role offers 1 night per week with flexible hours and full training supplied to support older people in maintaining wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities include personal care, nutrition, medication assistance, activities, and safeguarding issues within a supportive team. We welcome compassionate applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in care and support is desirable but not essential; full training is provided.
• Must be compassionate, respectful and reliable with a strong duty of care.
• Able to demonstrate a reasonable standard of verbal and written English and contribute to recording systems.
• Must be reliable, vigilant and responsive to emergencies.
• Must be able to carry out physical tasks including moving and positioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and emotional support according to individual needs and preferences.
• Prepare meals and refreshments and support nutrition and hydration.
• Assist with household tasks to promote independence.
• Support residents with taking and administering medications as required.
• Enable residents to participate in activities and foster relationships within the scheme.
• Support residents to maximise health, wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
• Respond to emergencies and changing needs and maintain safety at all times.
• Collaborate with families, health professionals and housing officers for coordinated care.
