Job summary

Care South is seeking a Night Care & Support Assistant at Fern Brook Lodge, Gillingham. The role involves providing compassionate, person-centred care during night hours (20:00-08:00) with the possibility of alternate weekends, across full-time, part-time, or bank positions.

You don’t need prior care experience; a warm, empathetic approach is valued. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and a welcome bonus of £500 to join our caring team.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; kindness, empathy and a genuine desire to help others are valued.
• Willingness to complete induction and training provided by Care South.
• Able to work night shifts and alternate weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and mobility assistance to residents.
• Support residents with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Assist with companionship and facilitating a safe, respectful home environment.
• Accurately document care provided and report changes to the care team.

Pay: £13.05 - £13.30 per hour and a £500 welcome bonus

Hours: Full Time, Part Time & Bank

Shift Pattern: 20:00 - 08:00 (including alternate weekends)
