Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Caversham is recruiting a Care Supervisor to lead a small team of care assistants, organise the shift pattern and role-model best practice in a luxury care and nursing home.

You will supervise staff through regular supervisions and performance reviews, monitor and update residents’ care plans, ensure daily progress is recorded and reported, and step in to provide care duties when needed, including emergencies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required or advantageous.
• Recognised medication administration qualification.
• Experience in care with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a small team of care assistants.
• Lead regular supervisions, one-to-ones and annual performance reviews.
• Review and monitor residents’ care plans and ensure adherence by all staff.
• Record residents’ daily progress accurately and report it.
• Perform care assistant duties with residents when required; stay calm and lead during emergencies.

Job Introduction

Your Role at Signature

As a Care Supervisor, you’ll be supporting and guiding a small team of care assistants, organising the team and leading by example. You’ll help them develop through regular supervisions, one to ones and annual performance reviews.

You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing residents care plans, ensuring they are adhered to by all team members. You’ll ensure residents’ daily progress is recorded and reported accurately. You’ll also be performing care assistant duties with residents as required.

You will keep a cool head and take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.
