Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Banstead is seeking a Care Supervisor to inspire and lead a small team of care assistants in our luxury care and nursing home. You’ll organise the team, conduct supervisions, and drive annual performance reviews.

You’ll monitor residents' care plans, ensure daily progress is recorded accurately, and step in to perform care tasks when needed. Stay calm, guide staff, and take charge during emergencies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required or desirable.
• Medication administration qualification is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of care assistants through regular supervisions and annual appraisals.
• Monitor and review residents' care plans and ensure adherence by all team members.
• Record residents' daily progress accurately and clearly.
• Perform care assistant duties with residents when required.

Your Role at Signature

As a Care Supervisor, you’ll be supporting and guiding a small team of care assistants, organising the team and leading by example. You’ll help them develop through regular supervisions, one to ones and annual performance reviews.

You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing residents care plans, ensuring they are adhered to by all team members. You’ll ensure residents’ daily progress is recorded and reported accurately. You’ll also be performing care assistant duties with residents as required.

You will keep a cool head and take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.
