Ocean Healthcare is seeking an Experienced Care Assistant to support a child with complex healthcare needs in St Austell, England. The role involves waking nights from 21:00 to 07:00, delivering specialist respiratory care, enteral feeding, and round-the-clock monitoring within the family home.

You\'ll join a nurse-led, supportive team, receive comprehensive training, and have the opportunity to develop specialist skills while making a meaningful difference in a young person\'s life.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.
• Two UK work references (at least one must be care-related).
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Reliability, professionalism and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care throughout the night.
• Monitoring respiratory status and responding appropriately to changes.
• Supporting BiPAP ventilation and overnight respiratory care.
• Supporting enteral feeding via PEG-J and monitoring feeding equipment.
• Administering care in line with individual care plans and clinical guidance.
• Maintaining a safe, calm and reassuring environment.
• Working closely with the family and Ocean Healthcare's Clinical Team.
• Experience supporting BiPAP and/or ventilator care.
• Epilepsy management.
