Job summary

Wing View Care Centre in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a Night Care Leader to supervise a small night team and oversee resident care and safety. The role focuses on leading care, maintaining records, and ensuring high standards of wellbeing during night hours.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ qualifications, strong communication, and a passion for mentoring colleagues in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or be working toward it (Level 3).
• Experience leading a care team and delivering person-centred care.
• Strong communication and ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of carers on night shifts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced carer with a desire to progress your career to the next level?

Do you prefer to work nights?

Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a small team of carers, you'll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. You'll ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed, understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records, and will be able to manage the time of both yourself and your team effectively to support the wellbeing of our residents. You'll understand that some shifts might be challenging, but you'll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.

ABOUT YOU

You'll have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you'll have achieved NVQ Level 2, and you're prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You'll also be experienced in leading a team to deliver care, be keen to progress to a role with greater levels of responsibility and be willing to undertake relevant training to support your career development in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.

You'll be a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive leader, you'll motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times.
