Job summary

Orwell Housing Association is seeking a Care Assistant (Waking Nights) for Blackbourne View in Ixworth. The role runs 21:45–07:15 with 33.25 hours per week, offering a salary of £22,174.64 per annum (FTE £25,342.44). You will provide compassionate, person-centred care and maintain accurate records to support residents at night.

Full driving licence is desirable, and DBS checks are part of the process. Training and development opportunities are available through the Orwell Academy.

Qualifications

• Care experience in personal care and day-to-day living activities.
• Ability to build relationships and provide emotional support.
• Maintain accurate records and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support with daily living activities.
• Deliver person-centred support and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate records and care plan updates.
• Support residents with dementia, mental health needs and end-of-life care.
• Follow safeguarding practices and safety checks during the night.
