Job summary

Brendoncare Foundation’s Otterbourne Hill care home is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts. You will provide person-centred care, support residents with health needs, and work with nurses to maintain care plans in a warm, family-like setting.

NVQ/QCF 2 in Health & Social Care is highly regarded but training is provided. Benefits include paid breaks, free meals on duty, DBS paid for, and free parking as part of living and working in a compassionate, community-focused home.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF 2 in Health & Social Care preferred but not essential; comprehensive training provided.
• Good communication, teamwork and reliability are required; caring for older residents is central to the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred personal care respecting residents' choices.
• Support residents when unwell or at end of life.
• Act as a Key-worker for several clients and contribute to care plans.
• Document care given, note changes and report to shift lead.
• Support families with appropriate confidentiality.
• Assist Activities Team with group and 1:1 activities for residents.
• Liaise with GP, Social Services, OT and other agencies as needed.
