Job summary

The Grange Care Centre in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join night shifts on a 44-hour week. You will be part of a friendly team delivering person-centred care to residents, while receiving full training and opportunities to progress within St Philip’s Care.

This role focuses on supporting daily living, monitoring health changes, and upholding residents’ privacy and dignity. A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are essential, with training

Qualifications

• Previous care experience in hospital, residential care home or nursing home.
• Genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Understand residents' health and wellbeing needs, and recognise how ongoing care can affect residents and their families.
• Support residents with areas of daily living they would usually manage independently.
• Take part in holistic, person-centred care activities.
• Meet residents’ individual needs while promoting choice and independence.
• Read and follow each resident’s care plan to support continuity of care.
• Respect each individual’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
• Support residents with moving and handling, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or condition.
• Report hazards or unsafe equipment to a senior colleague.
• Attend required in-service, development and mandatory training.
