Job summary

Northfield Community Partnership is seeking a Night Care Assistant to deliver compassionate, person-centred care in a small, family-run retirement home in Birmingham. You will work three night shifts weekly, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and well cared for during the night.

The role emphasizes respectful care, teamwork and strong communication with residents and colleagues. Training is provided to support the right candidate in this friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Care experience is desirable but not essential; training provided.
• Good communication and teamwork are important.
• Willingness to learn care procedures and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care and support to our elderly residents
• Supporting residents with bedtime and night-time routines
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Checking on residents throughout the night
• Responding to residents’ needs and call bells
• Supporting residents with dignity, kindness and respect
• Keeping accurate care records and reporting any concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Working as part of a supportive and friendly team
