Base pay range

Dovehaven Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant at Marsh House, Ulnes Walton Lane, Leyland. We currently have two positions available: working days from 7.30am to 1.30pm, 18 hours contact x2, or nights from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, 16 hours contact x2, with every other weekend involved.

Marsh House is a residential care home catering for up to 33 residents. The home specializes in dementia care, aiming to ensure all residents feel comfortable. Our homes promote independence, dignity, and respect through positive risk-taking and empowerment.

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you will assist staff in the running of the home and maintain high standards of care and service towards residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues. You will provide personal and practical care to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy in caring for older people, through previous social care roles or other relevant experience.
• Be self-motivated, resilient, and well-organized.
• Dependable, able to work under pressure, and flexible to meet residents' and the home's needs.

Skills and Experience:

• Caring and sensitive to others' needs.
• Committed to service excellence.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide emotional and social support.
• Committed to high standards of care, dignity, and respect.
• NVQ Level 2 in health and social care is desirable.
