Night Care Assistant
Location: Bognor Regis
Hours: Part Time, 24 hours per week
Salary:
- New to Care: A£12.81 per hour on weekdays, A£13.81 on weekends, and A£14.81 for overtime (Non-Medication trained).
- Care Assistant with less than 18 months experience: A£12.92 per hour on weekdays, A£13.92 on weekends, and A£14.92 for overtime (Medication trained).
- Care Assistant with more than 18 months experience: A£13.02 per hour on weekdays, A£14.02 on weekends, and A£15.02 for overtime (Medication trained).
- Care Assistant with NVQ Level Two: A£13.13 per hour on weekdays, A£14.13 on weekends, and A£15.13 for overtime.
- Care Assistant studying or with NVQ Level Three: A£13.23 per hour on weekdays, A£14.23 on weekends, and A£15.23 for overtime.
The Role
Our client is a well-regarded residential home based in Felpham. They are seeking a reliable and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role involves working two nights per week on a rota from 20:00 to 08:00.
As a Night Care Assistant, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring residents' needs are met with dignity, empathy, and respect. You will promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment during the night, making a positive difference in residents' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with night-time routines, including preparing for bed and morning wake-up support.
- Provide personal care respecting residents' dignity.
- Conduct regular checks on residents, responding promptly to needs.
- Support continence care following care plans and protocols.
- Monitor and record changes in residents' conditions and report to senior staff.
- Respond to call bells and resident needs efficiently.
- Reposition residents to prevent discomfort and pressure sores.
- Maintain a calm presence, providing emotional support.
- Ensure the home remains clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
- Follow safeguarding policies, emergency plans, and fire procedures.
- Complete documentation and handover reports.
- Adhere to care plan updates and instructions from senior staff.
- Undertake mandatory and professional development training.
- Uphold residents' confidentiality and organizational policies.
