Dalhousie Castle in Bonnyrigg, Scotland, is seeking a confident Night Auditor to oversee Front Office and guest experience overnight. You will be the main point of contact for our guests while the daytime team is away, ensuring security, accurate postings and a seamless overnight operation.
You will handle check-ins/outs, payments, reservations, banking and nightly reporting, working with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Management to maintain Dalhousie Castle’s luxury standards.
Surrounded by eleven acres of countryside and wooded valleys, Dalhousie Castle is a remarkable 13th-century Scottish castle with more than 800 years of history.

Our ambition is to establish Dalhousie Castle as one of Scotland’s leading luxury and 5-star destinations. We are building a team of people who are passionate about hospitality, proud of what they do and excited by the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the Castle.
We are looking for a confident and highly organised Night Auditor to take responsibility for our Front Office and guest experience throughout the night.
This is much more than a traditional Night Porter role. You will be the key point of contact for our guests overnight and will take ownership of the Front Office operation while the daytime management team is away from the property.
The position combines luxury guest service with Front Office administration, reservations, financial controls, security and overnight hotel operations.
Previous experience within a Night Auditor, Night Receptionist, Front Office or similar hotel role would be advantageous, although we are also interested in candidates with strong administrative, financial or customer service experience.
You will be someone who:
This is an opportunity to join Dalhousie Castle at a genuinely significant moment in its history.

As Night Auditor, you will hold an important position within the hotel. While much of the Castle sleeps, you will be trusted to look after our guests, protect our standards and ensure the operation is ready for the following day.
For someone looking to develop a career within Front Office, Rooms Division or hotel operations, the role provides valuable experience across guest relations, reservations, hotel systems, financial controls and operational decision-making.
