Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead is offering a secondment opportunity as Service Manager within the Community Diagnostic Centre team until 31 March 2027. The role leads the delivery of clinical activity, lines managed staff, and supports new pathway development with NHS England and ICB colleagues.

It requires solid NHS leadership experience and strong service management skills.

Qualifications

• First Degree or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience.
• Managerial qualification or equivalent level of experience within the NHS.
• Experience supervising staff at a hospital or primary care level.
• Experience in rota management, resource allocation or project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Line manage secretarial and administrative staff within the Department.
• Oversee day-to-day service management and delivery of clinical activity.
• Develop new pathways in line with national guidance with NHS England/ICB colleagues.
• Ensure financial plans and performance targets are met.
