Job summary

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group in Liverpool is recruiting a trainee Pharmacy Assistant to gain a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services. The role welcomes applicants with willingness to learn, no experience required.

You will dispense medicines, support stock management, and rotate across Royal Liverpool Hospital and other sites, with full training and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible team player.
• Interest in pharmacy services and patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and issue medicines, including controlled drugs and unlicensed products.
• Support ward stock top-ups and emergency orders.
• Handle deliveries, stock rotation, and automated dispensing systems.
• Work across multiple hospital sites as part of a dynamic and supportive team.
