Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust seeks an exceptional Network Managing Director to lead the creation of a seven-trust pathology network across Hampshire, Dorset, Salisbury and the Isle of Wight. You will drive the NHS transformation, secure approvals, and deliver sustainable, high-quality diagnostic services through strategic leadership and partnership working.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within a pathology, diagnostic, healthcare or similarly complex operational environment.
• Evidence of direct involvement in service redesign, innovation and change management.
• Experience of leading organisational change and development across organisational and professional boundaries.
• Experience of managing complex budgets, business cases, performance improvement and cost improvement programmes.
• Experience of leading large multidisciplinary teams and senior management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from a successful collaboration to a fully established network, delivering a complex programme of change.
• Provide visible, strategic leadership across multiple organisations, building trusted relationships and driving delivery at pace.
• Secure approval for a landmark business case across seven Trust Boards and establish sustainable pathology services for the future.
• Deliver effective governance and stakeholder engagement across partner organisations.
• Travel across partner organisations to build relationships and provide leadership as needed, within a hybrid working arrangement.
