Job summary

Standguide is seeking an NHS IPS Employment Specialist to support clients with severe mental health challenges in securing and sustaining paid work across Cheshire and Wirral. You will work within an integrated service to deliver IPS, guided by training and fidelity principles, with a focus on person-centred advice and employer engagement.

You will manage a small caseload, collaborate with clinical teams and PCNs, and contribute to service development while helping clients progress towards

Qualifications

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience.
• Desirable – trained in IPS approach.
• QCF in Advice & Guidance (Level 3).
• An understanding of employment needs of people with mental health difficulties.
• Experience with IT tools (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience in working with people with mental health support needs or similar client groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload of clients diagnosed with mental health needs and motivated to work.
• Deliver and embed the IPS approach within the team.
• Adhere to IPS principles and Fidelity scale.
• Monitor and manage performance through mentoring and supervision.
• Set KPIs and job outcomes in line with contractual requirements.
• Build relationships with employers to access the hidden labour market.
• Support staff training and development.
