Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for Health Care Assistant (NHS AfC Band 3) across Medicine, Emergency Care and Surgical Divisions. The roles are full-time or part-time with full/rotational shifts, and training will be provided.

You will work with nursing teams to deliver personal care, assist with procedures, and develop clinical skills including observations and venepuncture. The Trust supports flexible working and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Care certificate is essential or be willing to work towards completing on successful appointment to the post.
• IT qualification indicates proficient IT/system use in clinical records and reporting.
• Experience in care settings and teamwork is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering care to a designated patient group.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with Policy and Procedures.
• Support safe admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Undertake clinical skills training including observations and venepuncture.
• Support auditing and continuous improvement within the care team.
